
What is BMI?
BMI stands for Body Mass Index and is a measurement that is used to calculate a person’s health based on their weight and height. More specifically, it measures whether a person is underweight, normal weight, over weight, or obese based on what range they fall in.
Risks of Being Overweight:
- High blood pressure
- Increased cholesterol levels
- Type 2 diabetes
- Heart disease, stroke, gallbladders disease and other diseases
- Sleeping problems such as sleep apnea
- Certain cancers(breast, colon, kidney)
- Lower quality of life
- Mental illness
- A generally higher mortality rate

- Osteoporosis
- Growth and development issues and reproduction issues for women
